Off Scree's debut mixtape "No Days Off".

And now John Denver...

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: My Well Smokes Good- Devil Inside of Me

Appreciate the dude @gMentay for sending this one over. Laid back!

"In The Valley Of My World" (1973) by The Independents off their album "Chuck, Helen, Eric, Maurice".

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Fashawn- In the Rain

This is so dope! The Dramatics (formerly The Dynamics) were a American soul music vocal group, formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1967. They are best known for their 1970s million- selling hit songs, "In the Rain" and "Whatcha See is What You Get".

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Big K.R.I.T. - Dreamin

I've been trying to find this sample ever since I heard that Krizzle joint. So good! They use to say!

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Phil Ade- The Letter (Speech)

Thanks to the help of Phil Ade himself I now know where he got this dope speech from! My Saturday night will consist of renting ONE on ONE and bumping me some Ade!

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Dom Kennedy- Guess Who It Is

This is such a dope song off Dom's mixtape "25th Hour". "But now I ride around with me now in the trunk, Yellin' get out the way my ni**a it's me now in the front, I'm about to buy a Porsche put the cheese down in a month, like come out the house ma that's me down in the front."

"Beat produced by Kanye West. Guess Who's Back, track 4 from 'The Fix'. The Fix is the first album released by Def Jam and seventh overall album from rapper Scarface. Scarface became the president of Def Jam South the year before this release. This album was highly acclaimed, receiving the last 5 Mic rating from The Source Magazine before the latest 5 Mic album, Lil' Kim's The Naked Truth. Guests include Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel, Nas, Faith Evans and WC."

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Chip Tha Ripper- Don't Come Into My Hood (Bone Thugs Cover)

I mean I knew Chip had a cool, laid back flow but damn! He's got that BTNH flow down so good! Gets Krayzie on it!

Here's what wiki says about the song: "Days of Our Livez" is a single by Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. The instrumental is primarily based on "Tender Love" by Force MDs and "Making Love in the Rain" by Herb Alpert. It was released on the soundtrack to the movie Set It Off and is featured in the film. The song also appears the group's 1998 compilation album The Collection Volume One and Bone's greatest hits album. It reached number 53 on the UK Singles Chart, and was later certified Gold by the RIAA. It is also considered an underrated classic and one of Bone's greatest hits with its slow, melodic tone similar to that of "Tha Crossroads".

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Big Pooh- Zone Out

Pooh samples Free Designs song "Never Tell the World" for his mixtape "Fat Boy Fresh". But that's just between us.

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Laws- Run Away

I posted this Laws joint a while back and I forgot all about posting the sample! Well, here it is. The sample and the second verse make this song. If it hasn't been done yet someone needs to sample "Gold Lion" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs!

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Kendrick Lamar- I Hate You

I love this song. Such a dope concept and a great sample! Plain and simple, hip-hop at it's purest form. The sample is Sigur Ros (a dope ambient style band from Iceland) "Ny Batteri".

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Show Tufli- Jap Scene

Produced by Sha-Liek. Sample from Nujabes ft. Minmi "Song of Four Seasons" (ending theme for samurai champloo).

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Dom Kennedy- Locals Only

How dope is it that Dom sampled a Super Nintendo RPG game from the mid-90's?! Around the 1:43 mark is where the sample kicks in. How do these dudes find these beats to sample? Genius.

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Big K.R.I.T.- I Ain't Shit

I never imagined when I started doing an underground hip-hop website a few years back that I'd be posting a Lil Kim song but sure enough... This beat is smooth! This track is off Kim's 1996 album titled "Hard Core". Kim actually sampled Soul Mann & The Brothers song "Bumpy's Lament" (who Dre used for his song Xxplosive). And despite the fact that some of you may hate on Kim, she's on of the best female MC's of all-time (sorry to my 5th grade teacher who told me to never start a sentence with "and"). Never a flaw!

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Kanye West- Devil in a New Dress

Kanye sampled Smokey Robinson & The Miracles song "Will You Still Love Me" for his soulful joint. The sample appears @ the 2:07 mark. Still playing that Kanye cut on a regular basis.

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Wiz Khalifa & Curren$y- Checkpoint

Always liked this joint by Wiz and Spitta. Barry White was the producer/ writer for the sample they used.

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Diz Gibran- Impossible

Beautiful piece of music. "A map is more unreal than where you've been, or how you feel, and it's impossible to tell, how important someone was, and what he might have missed out on, and how he might have changed it all, and how you might have changed it all for him." She killed it on this live version!

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: The ILLZ- Dreams of Life & Beth

Such a good sample! Beth has such an amazing voice! If you want to check out ILLZ's version: http://railroadhiphop.blogspot.com/2010/07/illz-dreams-of-life-beth.html

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: French Montana- So High ft. Curren$y

Michael Franks 'Lotus Blossom' is so smooth! One of the best samples I've heard this year! And just in case you didn't catch it the first time around you can watch and hear French's version below.

Who'd The Sample? Saturdays: Big K.R.I.T- Hometown Glory

For obvious reason I can't call him Big so I'll just call him Krit. Krit sampled Adele's "Hometown Glory" for his track and what a sample it is. Adele can sing oh my!

Who'd They Sample? Saturdays: Drake- Closer

I def respect Drake for sampling Goapele on this one. The beat is one of the most relaxing beats of all time! And she has such an amazing voice.
