No One (Noni Spitz & Dae One): Unfaithful
"This is not your ordinary love song but a story that depicts the consequences of infidelity & temptations that come with every love relationship." Dude kinda sounds like a clean cut Bizarre.
KiD CuDi: Mojo So Dope
Off Man On the Moon 2 I'm guessing. I like this one more then other recent CuDi tracks but I'm still disappointed with the direction he's heading in.
Kendrick Lamar: For the Homies
Kendrick switches up the voice a little for this one. Old school vibe to it.

This Is NOT Hip Hop
Haha this is hilarious! "This is me, this is how I am, this is a lifestyle, this is it."
Hannibal King: Kill Superman Ep.1
Music from Hannibal King's Villains Gone Bad II .. Coming Soon. Lux Aeterna or Requiem for a Dream or whatever you wanna call it by Clint Mansell always gets me pumped! I wasn't big into the last drop by Hannibal but we shall see what this one has to offer.
The Doppelgangaz: The Groggy Pack
These dudes stage name is kinda weak but I must say it's what grabbed my attention to listen to the song so I guess I'll shut up now. One of the best beats I've heard this year! So laid back, so smooth and so hip-hop!

The ILLZ: Dreams of Life & Beth
This dude is legit in my book. I bookmarked this one a couple weeks back and meant to post it but spaced out. SMOOTH! Sample: Beth Gibbons- Show
"When The ILLZ approached me about the “In Between Video series”, I was struck by the simple brilliance of it all. Releasing video and song simultaneously, as one piece of content, was a bold and strong move. I signed on immediately, and within a few days, we began shooting the first few videos. Simple, often low concept, but brimming with ILLZ insistence on cinematic imagery. With “Dreams of Life & Beth”, I decided to go with a very cold, morbid look. The song is introspective and haunting, and I wanted to convey that through a simplistic set of visuals. Shooting on the Manhattan bridge at 5:30 am, we got that clean ambient light, and complete desertion. Everything was shot on long lenses, creating a sense of deep space and complete loneliness. The video is a mood piece, low on concept but high on artistry and emotion. It is but the first chapter in a varied, complex and beautiful set of upcoming videos, one unlike that of any artist I’ve worked with thus far. “Dreams of Life & Beth” was produced by Beth Gibbons & Rustin Man. Download the “In Between Video Series” along with the videos and the songs on August 17th." – Kristopher Rey-Talley
Nardwuar vs. Drake
This was actually a pretty dope interview! Definitely laughed a few times. This is the first time I've seen a Nardwuar interview but dudes got great knowledge and studies his shit! It's annoying when Drake starts talking about his "breast rack" but other than that Drake was somewhat humble. 40 is so high! "And now we have Cherokee."

Ca$he: Street Affair
Feauting Iffy on the hook; off DJ Quiz’s We Got Next pt.1 mixtape. I'm iffy about the hook for sure. Harlem though has some good lines. "The good die young, the great die younger, which means I've been dead, it's just my soul that's amongst ya." R.I.P. Pac
Paper Tiger: 2nd Day Back
From the album "Made Like Us" available on Doomtree Records. This right here makes me wanna make a skate video...

Rey Resurreccion: Spaceships
"Rey Resurreccion, emcee/producer from San Jose, California. Growing up, Rey has been influenced by hip hop legends such as The Pharcyde, Heiroglyphics, and Outkast into a well balanced, classic sound. On the track, Rey comes with a smooth laid back style over a combination of hard drums, original compositions, and nostalgic samples."
Mos Def: Traveling Man
Been on repeat the last couple days so I had to put it up. "I'm leavin' on the next plane, don't know when I'll be back again." Totally feel that right about now.

Rakaa: Delilah
Decent song in my opinion. But the video is shit! I hate this style... it's been done so much before and people still try it. I guess you internet people would say smh (shaking my head... yeah lame shit haha). Anyways this be the official video for "Delilah" from Rakaa's upcoming solo debut album, "Crown Of Thorns" available everywhere on 7/20 via Decon. "Delilah" was produced by Evidence, video directed by Yoram Benz.
Ski Beatz: Cream Of The Planet Ft. Mos Def

Curren$y talks Young Money, Lil Wayne, State of Hip
Attention young rappers in the game, this is 101 for how you should do an interview! Be yourself and say shit that means somethin! So many good quotes from Curren$y, had me crackin' up the whole time! “Aww im sorry Q-tip, im sorry you legendary rappers, but we just won’t be able to get this to clear channel.” Haha! Spitta shouts out to Souls too. JETS!

Twin Peaks is a duo consisting of the Halifax native Ghettosocks and Saskatchewan-born/ Toronto-raised Muneshine. Off that Kissing Hands & Shaking Babies. Dope title!
Laws: Overtime
"I had that co-worker I was trying to make my chick, a year from now I will be telling her to get off my dick". Haha. Now throw your hands in the air! Pumped for this to come out later today!
Bambu: Old Man Raps
I'm really enjoying this dudes music. Check it for yourself. Bambu's EP Paper Cuts is available now.
The Audible Doctor: Free
The Audible Doctor drops his first single off his upcoming project, Some Stuff. A freEP to help promote his full length, Trust Me, I’m a Doctor.
Fashawn: Santiago's Revenge
Love this style beat! I can't think of the perfect word to use for the beat and sampled vocals but I'll go with Exotic. "I be movin' zips like Sendspace, And I ain't talkin' bout no motherfuckin' mixtapes."
Co$$: It's All Happening
Co$$ and Numonics team up on track. This is the 2nd leak from their collaborative project, Revelations. Nice on it!
Gotham Green & Quickie Mart: Tell Me Something Ft. Freddie Gibbs & Jes Hudak
Off that Haze Diaries V.3. The video on this is really well done. Overall real good art here.

Royce Da 5'9": Walking In the Rain
This shit is nice! I like Royce on this over The Game any day. Beat is dope and heads up to Mel Gibson haha! Damn!
KQuote Author: Sneeze
Shouts to Meaghan for sending this joint over. KQuote hits us with a song about "the stark realities of childhood and the sudden loss of a close family member". You can hit him up on Twitter @KQuoteAuthor and you can reach Meaghan on Twitter @meagmoney.
Elzhi: Transitional Joint
Lovin' this jam right now. Totally relate. "and never thought that you would ever trust again, thinking they're good just for lust and sin and not for busting in."
Laws: Last Day Pharcyde Freestyle
I've heard a lot of freestyles over this beat but this one's actually pretty legit. 5:01 Overtime hits shelves tomorrow.

Kid Cudi: Erase Me Ft. Kanye
Quicker and quicker Cudi headin' towards that bubble gum rap. He on some Avril Lavigne shit here... thumbs down.
J.Cole: Premeditated Murder
This shit is fire! My new favorite track right now! So many good lines and a hot, hot beat. "I'm ballin' with Nuggets like fuck it I'm Carmelo, now the crib got much rooms, Portobello, she drop it low and then she bust moves for the fellow, I sit your ass down like you was playin' the Chello".

Tim Westwood x Drake Freestyle Mock
Haha pretty funny. I like Drake but he does do some stupid shit. The "I say" and the hand haha! So good.
Language Arts Crew: The Past Time
Just found this... thought it was pretty dope. Biggie themes and references and beats and everything been creepin' in my ear lately. Sample is Smokey Robinson and the Miracles "The Tracks of My Tears".
The Kid Daytona: On The Hill
All I hear is Biggie "Ugh"! I like the David Lee reference though! Warrior faithful stand up! P.S. Knick fans be very happy, Randolph is a beast!
Blame One: Glass House
Comin' out of sunny San Diego, Blame One hits us with his latest. Produced by Exile so you know the beat's nice. Diggin' the piano!

A Super Interview With Nike Nando
For those out there that don't know of Nike Nando, how would you describe yourself and your music?
Tuesday, July 13, 2010
Phil Ade: The Letterman Mixtape
Been anticipating this ever since I posted his song "The Letter". Should be pretty dope. Presented and mixed by Don Cannon. DL link below. Enjoy.
DOWNLOAD: Phil Ade – The Letterman
Drake: Paris Morton Music
God damn I wish Drake would stop trying to sing on tracks! If Drake was an underground cat he'd go in on all his tracks and he'd be so much better! But instead he tries to make music for both sexes if you know what I mean. So with that being said skip to around 1:05 in the song. The rest is pretty dope. Overall the song is a cross between "Fireworks" and "Fear" in my opinion.
Anthony J Shears: Tears In Your Eyes
Randomly found this song... pretty dope though! Worth a listen. Off of the album The Growth: My ENDtroduction.
Cobe Obeah: Great Bars of Fire
The latest leak off Cobe Obeah’s 2DopeBoyz-presented mixtape, Song Of the Starz, finds the Los Angeles emcee rocking over some vintage Nas.

Reflection Eternal: Ballad of the Black Gold
Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek release a brand new music video for "Ballad of the Black Gold", an ode to the oil crisis. That shit's a damn shame.
The Last Emperor: Fine Art
Even though the dude flaked on an interview, (after I had written all the questions) music is music and I love hip-hop! I'm not stoked on this joint however.

Laws: Hold You Down (Remix) Ft. Big K.R.I.T. & Emilio Rojas
I'm back and forth on this one. You be the judge.
Incise: Rising (Redux) Ft. Tunji
I'm totally into this one right now. Definitely on repeat right now. Rumor has it that Incise's album titled "Nobody's Story" is all-time. I'll have to check that out for sure. I suggest you do to if you're into this song!
Dom Kennedy: 1997
Track #3 on From The Westside, With Love. Directed by Matty Barnes. Peep it. "You say I'm 'bout to really be-elle-o-double u shit (blow)!
Lite (Coolroy): Golden
Diggin' this one. The raw emotion in this song is really cool to hear and I give Lite heavy-ups for sharing with us.
"I am excited to bring you the last visual from my project Out To Lunch. So much time, effort and emotion went into creating a video that would be able to bring these two very true stories to life. Directed by myself and Tha Vision, this “Golden” video is probably one of my most coveted projects. I can only hope you enjoy watching it, as much as we enjoyed creating it."
Paul Wall: Live It Ft. Yelawolf, Raekwon & Jay Electronica
New track of Paul Wall's upcoming album "Heart of a champion". Produced by Travis Barker. This is the first time I've posted some Paul Wall shit but this is pretty solid man. Wasn't expecting this at all. Wall gives a shout out to Nickatina! I still bump Dre Dog even though he's a dick in person.
Thursday, July 8, 2010
Blackstar: Brown Skin Lady
Thought I'd put this one up on the page before you "pump out". "You got me, willin to try, looked me in the eye, my head is still in the sky, since you walked on by".
Tuesday, July 6, 2010
Skeme: Don't Lose Focus
So good! The beat, the lyrics... this is hip hop. Got me steady noddin'. "Can't forget that good weed, now my eyes red, word to my high heads, I talked to 'em but can't tell you what god said, never you mind, just listen to this and nod head". Nice.

Ski Beatz: Scaling the Building Ft.Curren$y & Wiz Khalifa
Wiz and Spitta have great chemistry when they're together on track. Dopeness.
